  Ok so if they are symbolic virgins what are they symbolic virgins of ? false religion? that would mean that the anointed would all have to be "born in's" Virgins of the world? that would mean the anointed have to have lived like monks. A symbolic virgin means they are Untouched, untouched by what? barney the dinosaur? lol

  my husband and i for the first time had an honest discussion regarding jw doctrines, he believes in the flawlessness of the society, so he is not easy to talk to.

  he did agree however that if 607 is not correct that the society has it all wrong.

  well to say the least that was an interesting turn of events.

  Cinema - what's right and wrong?

  i am a jw matriarch and have always accepted our teachings, often looking for guidance from the watchtower webpage when i was doubtful.

  especially when it comes to modern culture.

  i was asked by my son's friend's mother what was righetous with regard to cinema.

  after my wedding i sent out an email to every non-witness i know and jw parents and a couple of siblings; the first group to stay in touch with old mates or turn near-strangers into friends in a time of needing them; the jw family group so that they'd know what's going on in our lives and how the wedding etc went and partly because i didn't want to be 'shunning' them; i wanted to be the one showing love and making an effort to maintain contact.

  i sent another out recently, i figure i'll make it a biannual report on the life and times of the frass family.

  it's nothing at all controversial, just a 'what we're up to' email.

  What is strange is that rather than your sister saying this he took it upon himself to push you out into the cold not your sister. Carry on chatting to your sister, address Emails to her but dont cc them with the other people. Hes obviously a spiritual snob who saw all the other people you'd emailed the same email too and decided "to make a stand for Jehovah" !

  So, should I reply? Should I include the words 'actually I will never be reinstated into you insane cult'?

  Naaaaaaa, don't antagonise the jerk any further, don't give him ammunition to fire at your sister and cut you off with, namely that you are a "satanic apostate who wants to drag his wife away from Jehovah and him". Don't prove him right.

  i have been researching the wt since i briefly posted on this board and i have come to the conclusion that the wt is nothing but a man made organization.

  i have been researching the wt non stop since december.

  i remember i was in high school and i really wanted to get on the theocratic ministry school.

  i was making progress, started getting responsibilities like the microphones, helped do little jobs e.t.c and slowly i was being brought into the center of the congregation.. i went for my "interview" to get on the theocratic ministry school and...... they knocked me back.

  told me 'someone' had told them i was swearing and even if it wasn't true they wanted me to spend more time upbuilding my faith.

  Knocking youths back was par of the course at my congregation (Unless you were an Elders kid) No one got to be a baptism candidate on the first try. A kids publishing slip would never be accepted the first time round, even if the kid really had been publishing and had held back from putting that slip in. And no one ever got onto the school first go.

  And they wondered why all the youths fell away or got DF'd

  the bible talks about life and many truths.

  from beginning to end.. there is history in the bible.. jesus is the creator.. if he made adam and eve at the beginning then, they could not have evolved.

  I must say I have seen an awful of of crap on this site but this strikes me as the most offensive thing I've ever read here.

  BlessedStar as a christian, a footstep follower of Christ I have a question for you. Would Jesus belittle and ridicule the sick like this?
